Meet the Artist

Toby Trezona’s passion for nature and woodworking began over 45 years ago. This led him to explore different styles and techniques such as the Japanese art of Suiseki, which is the the appreciation of the unaltered natural beauty of stones. Toby is also passionate about bonsai trees and uses their images in his specially crafted boxes. His love of nature doesn’t stop there and can be seen throughout most of his pieces.

He mostly utilizes hardwoods because they’re the best to work with when it comes to a lot of his pieces. Such as cherry, which he uses in a number of his pieces. He also enjoys going out near his home on hikes to discover fallen burl and manzanita to utilize in his pieces.

Toby is active in his local community where he holds a membership with his local art council. Which allows him to participate in a number of events and showoff his skillfully crafted works of nature. Such as Sam Maloof inspired rocking chairs, unique boxes with bonsai motifs, and intarsia wall hangings to just name a few. Toby will be bringing in new pieces to showcase, so be sure to stop in and check them out!
